GE/Sievers Nitiric Oxide Analysis System

The GE/Sievers NOA system offers the most versatile detection system for Nitric Oxide. Utilizing Chemiluminescence technology, analysis is specific to NO in PPB or Picomolar concentrations.

Optional configurations permit liquid analysis of biologic solutions, or gas analysis in exhaled samples (real time or collected samples) or headspace analysis from invitro experiments.

Liquid analysis

Using a Purge Vessel system, any biologic liquid, including: plasma, sera, urine, CNS fluids, cell culture media, and tissue homogenates, may be measured. Various reagents permit selective analysis of Nitrate, Nitrite, and Nitrosothiols. The investigator can selectively measure S-nitrosoglutathione and S-nirosoalbumin or hemoglobin bound NO. On-line analysis displays sharp peak areas, with User customized peak identification and measurement.

Exhaled Breath applications

All current exhaled NO measurement techniques are supported, allowing real-time analysis of Restricted Exhaled Breath (recommended by the American Thoracic Society), Breath-by-Breath, Nasal sampling, and Bag collection sampling. Incentive screen displays aids proper test procedure in children in Asthma screening. The ozone-Chemiluminescent technology allows sensitivity to 1 PPB and 1 pmol.
